2) I don't like to give up on anything. If I commit to something that I fully dive into and do my best at whatever activity that is. If I become passionate about something then that something will receive everything I can give for it. A time that I considered giving up was after I tore my hamstring in the middle of my junior year. I then attempted to come back and play too soon which lead to me reaggravate the injury. I thought about giving up at this point. I then thought about the commitment I made to my team and I knew that I would have to rehab so I could play to my best ability my Senior year.
3) Three tips I would give to new students
1. Time manage all of your classes and set aside time to do your assignments for this specific class.
2. Do not wait to the last minute to do assignments. I usually try to get all of my assignments done the day before it is due or even earlier.
3. Do not be shy when attempting to do some of these projects. I have gained confidence through some of the assignments that I have had to do that had us interact with random strangers.

Very good points on not giving up. I commend your "never give up" attitude. That's an area where I've struggled personally lately. Seeing others with the tenacity you've shown here is inspiring. Also, not sure if you have seen this, but you might find reddit.com/r/nonzeroday interesting. It speaks to the things you listed here. ReplyDeleteI also have a similar problem, where I won’t give up on something even though I probably should, just because I set out to do it and want to stick to the promise I made to myself, however stupid it may be in hindsight.
ReplyDeleteTime management is really a pain in the butt! But it is crucial…. Especially for a good grade, rather than just a passing one.
