My Secret Sauce

Five ways in which I think I have human capital that is truly unique.
  1. I have a very solid work ethic
  2. I have an exceptional ability to motivate others while also being very approachable at the same time
  3. I am very cooperative
  4. I hold great leadership skills including the ability to lead by example
  5. I am an extremely honest person
According to my feedback I am a very approachable person. I am a good listener. I have very exceptional people skills. I am also a good leader who is able to show this by leading by example.

I believe I see myself very similar to the way that other people see me. I believe the adjectives that I described myself as were very close to the ones that others used to describe me.

  1. You have the start to a great post here, but it needs more detail. More than just a list of traits I feel that this assignment calls for a more in depth description of yourself. You have a good work ethic, but how does that show up in your life? What are some examples of times where you kept working where others would have gotten bored and quit, or put off the job before even starting? After you provide some more detail this would be an excellent post.

  2. Hi Cameron,
I think you listed five really great qualities. I can relate to all of them, especially the work ethic, leadership skills, and honesty qualities. These are all important qualities to have, however in what specific ways do you think they are personally applicable to you? Or I guess what are some examples do you have when you demonstrated these qualities? If you would like to check out my secret sauce post, here is the link- http://daniellesteinent3003.blogspot.com/2016/03/my-secret-sauce.html

  3. Hey Cameron,

As the other comments above me have mentioned, I think you would benefit more from this exercise by creating a more detailed list of your unique traits and strengths. Great job on going out and getting your five interviews as well. I can relate to your skills in that I see myself as a cooperative person as well and have no problem in working with other individuals.

  4. Hello Cameron. Great post! I think all of the traits you listed are really important to have for business ventures or for any kind of professional environment. Being able to motivate others and being cooperative are things people look for if you are in a leadership role. Also having a solid work ethic and being honest is something that always helps you stand out. I wasn’t able to finish this assignment so I have no link to share.

  5. Cameron,

Let me know when you run for public office! No, seriously. Things we could use in Washington: solid work ethic - working at all would be a change, but having a strong work ethic would be dearly appreciated' an exceptional ability to motivate others while also being very approachable at the same time - would be nice to have someone cross the aisle and actually get things done by being cooperative yet not completely compromising.
Holding great leadership ability is only as good as how honest a person you are and it appears you lead by example - good one at that!

Make me wonder how many on Wall Street, or in large companies like Enron or WorldCom, not to mention on Capitol Hill, started out in college just as a rising star such as you.

Don't let the world change you to become something you would one day despise. I am excited to see you as a future leader.

  6. I noticed that the people who know you mentioned you are a real people person, and that is probably difficult to tell without others telling you. But the rest of how people saw you does seem to line up with what you said about yourself, which is great. It shows you know yourself and your strengths well and you aren't biased. Although, I think it would be interseting to interview aquantences, to see how you come across to people who dont have the chance to know you really well. I wasn't able to interview people who know me well, but check out my blog here: http://brientrep.blogspot.com/

  7. Hi Cameron,

this was a great post. I think you definitely have a leg-up on people if you're able to to motivate others. I can't tell you how difficult of a feat that is to accomplish, but I guess when you have other characteristics such as being honest and approachable, then it must come naturally.
